How It Works: Dual-Stage PSA Oxygen Generation

Stage One: Primary Separation

Using a synthetic zeolite molecular sieve, the system adsorbs nitrogen from compressed air at high pressure and releases it at low pressure. This stage delivers oxygen purity levels of up to 96%.

Stage Two: High-Purity Enhancement

The partially purified oxygen (95-96%) then passes through an activated carbon molecular sieve (CMS). This stage increases the oxygen purity to a maximum of 99.5% by selectively adsorbing residual gases, particularly argon and trace impurities.

Optimized for Efficiency

To achieve 99%+ oxygen purity, the generator sacrifices approximately 35% of the initial 95% pure oxygen stream. Therefore, systems targeting ultra-high purity must be sized accordingly—at least twice the desired final output capacity. The entire process is managed by intelligent software and automated valve control, ensuring both consistency and efficiency.
